M.2 Fan SSD Thermal Module
Description
M.2 Fan SSD Thermal Module – Active Cooling for High Performance
The M.2 Fan SSD thermal module integrates a precision heatsink with an active fan to dissipate heat from M.2 SSDs. It ensures stable performance under load, avoids overheating, and helps maintain optimal operating speeds over time.
Key Features:
- Lower operating temperature
- Prevent thermal throttling
- Extend SSD lifespan
- Easy to install
- Optimised cooling performance
Applications:
This thermal module supports a wide range of M.2 SSD form factors and brands including:
- NVME SSDs
- NGFF SATA M.2 SSDs
- Models include Samsung 950 EVO Pro / 960 EVO / 970, Intel SSD 6/7 series, Kingston HyperX Predator
- Compatible with single-sided M.2 2280 boards
Note: The module dimensions are 70 × 26.4 × 19.5 mm. Ensure your case offers at least 20 mm clearance above the M.2 slot and that there is space for the 400 mm fan cable to reach a 4-pin motherboard fan header.

- Direct-contact base ensures efficient heat extraction from SSD chips
- Heat pipes distribute heat evenly across fin array
- Placement is optimised to take advantage of airflow within the system
Installation Instructions
Remove the screws from the thermal module.
Peel protective film from both sides of the thermal pad.
Position the heatsink over the SSD—align pads and contact areas.
Secure with screws, ensuring good contact.
Insert the SSD + module into the M.2 slot and fasten with the original mounting screw.
Plug the fan cable into a 4-pin motherboard fan header.
