M.2 SSD Thermal Module
Description
M.2 SSD Thermal Module – Efficient Cooling & Enhanced Performance
The M.2 SSD thermal module is a cooling solution designed to manage heat on M.2 solid-state drives. It maintains optimal performance and reliability by dissipating excess heat, which helps prevent overheating and thermal throttling—both major causes of performance loss and hardware degradation.
Key Features:
- Lower operating temperature
- Prevent thermal throttling
- Extend SSD lifespan
- Easy installation
- Improved cooling efficiency
Applications:
This thermal module supports a wide range of M.2 SSD form factors and brands including:
- NVME SSDs
- NGFF SATA SSDs
- Models such as Samsung 960 EVO / 970 EVO / 950 Pro / PM951 / PM961 / SM951 / SM961 / XP941, Intel SSD 6/7 series, Kingston HyperX Predator, Plextor M6e
Works with both single-sided and double-sided M.2 2280 boards
Note: The module height is approximately 1.55 inches (39.5 mm). Please ensure your case and motherboard layout can accommodate this clearance.

Thermal Design Highlights
Thermal Pad (TG-A6200)
- Acts as a bridge between the SSD surface and the heatsink
- Fills micro-gaps to improve thermal transfer
- Thermal conductivity: 6.2 W/mK
- Available in 0.5 mm thickness (or custom thicknesses upon request)
Aluminium Fin Array
- Constructed from lightweight aluminium alloy
- High surface area design improves heat dissipation into ambient air
Heat Pipes & Direct-Touch Base
- Direct-contact base ensures efficient heat dissipation from SSD chips
- Heat pipes distribute heat evenly across fin array
- Placement is optimised to take advantage of airflow within the system
Installation & Use Tips
Ensure you have enough vertical clearance above the M.2 slot (minimum ~39.5 mm).
Remove the protective film from both sides of the thermal pad.
Carefully align the heatsink over the SSD, making sure pads and contacts are flush.
Secure using original M.2 standoff or mounting screws.
Benefit immediately from improved cooling performance, especially under heavy loads.
